Anticipating the upcoming changes in translation of the Roman Missal, Fr John Riccardo held a 4 day mission with the goal of initiating a journey toward a greater understanding of the spiritual realities that occur during Mass. The focus then centers on the Eucharist.
From Sunday, March 13th, through Wednesday, March 16th, Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish is conducting a parish mission titled Do This in Remembrance of Me. Fr. Riccardo is presenting evening sessions each night beginning at 7 PM. This is Fr. John's presentation from the Sunday evening session. His bibliography for the parish mission is available for download.
I gave it a listen and it's good -- just make sure you're aware that the talks aren't about the new translation of the missal. They're about the Eucharist. So now that you know...enjoy!

On March 8, 2008, Fr. Riccardo addressed the 8th Annual Worcester Diocesan Catholic Men's Conference in Worcester, MA. Fr. John spoke on Confession: A Fireside Chat with the Lord. This podcast contains the audio and video from his address. It is posted in iPod video format and should play within the iTunes application, Apple Quicktime or on a video iPod. The file is over 350 MB in size, so patience is required for the download. A broadband connection to the Internet is recommended. Fr. John Riccardo was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit in 1996. The youngest of five children. A graduate of The University of Michigan. After working for several years in the professional world, entered the seminary to begin studies for the priesthood. Studied philosophy at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. Studied theology at the Gregorain University in Rome. Received a Sacred License in Theology (STL) from The Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family. Formerly serving as the Director of the Cardinal Maida Institute located at St. John Center for Youth and Family in Plymouth, Michigan.
Since July, 2005, Fr. John Riccardo had been pastor of St. Anastasia Catholic church in Troy, MI. He's a very popular speaker at pro life and church events. Fr. John is now pastor at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth, MI.
