As Lent approaches, it's a good time to recall your own mortality. Memento mori - "Remember, thou art mortal." For the secular world, this contemplation seems morbid because for them it is the end. For us, we know it is merely the beginning of an eternity spent in blessed joy with our Savior, the Ever New Eternal One -- it is a cause for joy and anticipation, tempered by the knowledge of our eternal judgment but hopeful in the promises of our Lord.
