Chants de l'Eglise Milanaise

Ensemble Organum directed by Marcel Pérès

Chants of the Milanese Church

A recording of Milanese or Ambrosian chant which attempts to recapture the original form of this very ancient Christian musical form which dates back to the late 4th century. The Ensemble Organum applied the form of singing and modes of the Greek and Antiochian churches to re-create early Ambrosian chant, as it might have been heard at the time of its original presentation.

Could you possibly set your links, especially chant and music links, to open in new windows? That way I could go back to browse while listening more easily.

Thank you for your wonderful site!

    In Christ's peace and joy,
