Landregan Lecture 2006

On November, 4th, Mr. John Allen, author of numerous books, Vatican analyst for CNN, and Vatican reporter for National Catholic Reporter, delivered the 2006 Landregan Lecture: "The Cross and the Crescent: The Relationship between the Church and Islam under Benedict XVI."

The Landregan Lecture was inaugurated in 1999 to honor Steven T. Landregan, UD alumnus, prominent churchman, former editor of the Texas Catholic, and patron of permanent deacons in the diocese of Dallas. Speakers are nationally prominent figures whose area of expertise reflects the many interests that have animated Mr. Landregan throughout his long, distinguished, and continuing career of service to the Church in North Texas.
