From columns in newspapers to a 1999 titled Hitler’s Pope, the line is that Pius did not do enough to save Jews from the Holocaust. Here's a lecture given in defense of the pope, dispelling the myth of "Hitler's Pope":

Also of note is that the 35-year-tenured chief rabbi of Rome, Israel Zolli, converted to Catholicism in large part because of Pius XII's treatment of him and other Jews during WWII. In so doing, he also took the name Eugenio Maria in honor of Pius. Quite an interesting subject...
